Earlier this week, the team from DK-Daleba and our sister company GSPK Circuits were one of 40 exhibitors at the ‘Engage with…LIVE’ event in Sheffield. An event for Driving the Electric Revolution: ‘Supply Chains for Net Zero.’ A total of nearly 350 involved with Power Electronics Machines and Devices met to see and listen to the latest developments for low carbon developments in electrification.
As part of the UK strategy GSPK with other consortium partners Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult Ltd, Customer Interconnect Ltd, Supply Design Ltd, and Iceotope Technologies Ltd have been funded by Driving the Electric Revolution, an Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund delivered by UK Research and Innovation to develop Enhanced Liquid Immersion Power Supplies.
Liquid immersion on Power Supplies improves power density and performance opportunities but current performance is limited, due to present-day components and manufacturing techniques optimised for conduction or convection cooling. The consortium will address those issues by producing ELIPS units for the rapidly growing data centre market but also for circular economy opportunities including automotive, aerospace, defence, and telecoms.
GSPK has a vital role in the project and will be developing on their current manufacturing experience and IP for the necessary Heavy Copper Power PCBs with GaN devices needed for this technology.
At the ‘Engage with…LIVE’ event Heavy Copper PCBs were on display on our exhibition stand and there was high interested from all involved in Power Electronics.
